Longevity Secrets of Healthy Seniors: How They Stay Vibrant into Their 80s and 90s

Sleep paralysis (aka attack) Real reasons why you experience it

Sleep paralysis, for the purpose of this article, is simply what happens to you at night and it feels as if a power stronger than you, comes to sit on or lie down on you to the point of almost choking you to death and every effort you might want to put in to talk or pray, will be in vain as you cannot use your voice or mouth again till the 'attack' is over then, you will find your voice again and some Christians end up shouting "Jesus".

During this so called attack, you are conscious of your environment and sometimes see your room, the wall of your room and even realize that you are lying down in the same position that you are with your eyes wide open. You may or may not see your attacker and you may also hear voices or music in the environment before the attack.

A lot of Africans especially Nigerians have attributed this attack to close relatives in the village who they believe, are using witchcraft to torment them at night. Some actually take it to the next level by visiting prophets or black  magic practitioners or sharman, who confirm their suspicion and come up with an idea of who the suspect most likely is and of course, grandmothers and mothers in the village are usually the unlucky ones to be called out.

Sleep paralysis simply happens to you when your body is over stressed, tired or depressed especially if you are the type that stays awake longer than necessary, you are already preparing the way for sleep paralysis to happen to you. If you are reading for exams overnight, you are likely going to have sleep paralysis. If you sleep around 3am in the morning, you will likely suffer from sleep paralysis. If you read till day break and sleep around 5am or 6am, there's every likelihood that you will get a sleep paralysis.

If you are feeling depressed and your soul feels down, you will likely get a sleep paralysis.

Now let me tell you what happens during sleep paralysis: during sleep paralysis, what simply happens is that your body is completely tired and goes into such a deep slumber that is too much for the soul to bear i.e. you are almost dead and your soul is planning an escape from the body. This makes the soul to see things and hear things that the body will otherwise, neither see nor hear. Your soul doesn't close eyes hence your ability to see your room and your environment.

Now when you try to move your body, the soul is willing to move the body but the flesh is too week to comply likewise, the soul is talking but the flesh's mouth is not carried along hence the inability to speak out or being heard.

Then suddenly, through the divine mercies of God and the fact that it's not yet time to die, your soul reconciles with your body and voila! You are alive again.

Sleep paralysis is a testament that everyone has a soul and body and a gentle reminder if what happens at death in which case the soul never gets to reconnect with the body again and it has no option than to move on to the next realty, which is eternal life with either God or devils.

If you have ever had this experience and you are still alive, give thanks to God 🙏

Your skin, eyes, lips, and even the color of your cheeks can reveal a lot about what’s happening inside your body. In traditional Chinese medicine, facial mapping has long been used to detect internal imbalances, and even modern medicine recognizes that certain facial signs can indicate underlying health conditions. Let’s explore how the state of your face can reveal the state of your health — and the key indicators you should look out for. 1. Pale or Yellowish Skin: Signs of Anemia or Liver Issues If your face looks unusually pale, it might be a sign of anemia, meaning your body lacks enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen. A yellowish tone, especially in the eyes or skin, could point to jaundice, often linked to liver or gallbladder problems. 🩸 What it may indicate: Iron or vitamin B12 deficiency Liver disea...
