Why Your Bloating May Have Nothing to Do With Food

Roll-ons? Think twice before using it.

Why You Should Think Twice Before Using Roll-On Deodorants on Your Armpits

Your armpits are one of the most absorbent areas of your skin. Every day, many people apply roll-on deodorants without thinking about what they're putting on their bodies.

Some deodorants contain ingredients that can cause problems for certain people, including:

  • Skin irritation or rashes.
  • Fragrances that may trigger allergies or headaches.
  • Alcohol that can dry out sensitive skin.
  • Aluminum-based compounds (found in many antiperspirants), which temporarily block sweat glands to reduce sweating and may irritate some people's skin.

Remember, sweating is a normal and important way for your body to regulate temperature. Covering body odor is different from stopping your body from sweating.

If you're concerned about the ingredients in your deodorant, consider: ✔ Choosing fragrance-free products if you have sensitive skin. ✔ Looking for aluminum-free deodorants if you prefer to avoid antiperspirants. ✔ Washing your underarms daily with mild soap. ✔ Wearing breathable cotton clothing. ✔ Staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet, as body odor can sometimes be influenced by overall health.

The goal isn't to stop sweating completely—it's to stay clean, comfortable, and choose products that work well for your skin.

What kind of deodorant do you use—roll-on, spray, stick, or natural alternatives? Share your experience in the comments.
