Longevity Secrets of Healthy Seniors: How They Stay Vibrant into Their 80s and 90s

Get these items to survive this compulsory self isolation for Coronavirus

It is no longer news that the dreaded Coronavirus or Covid-19 is here but hopefully not here to stay.

This viral disease that started from Wuhan in China has actually gone viral and a lot of deaths have been recorded over the couple of days that this virus has visited humanity. It is indeed a pity that people have died due to the virus but it is not everyone affected by the virus that has died, or that will die. It is very important for us to get it at the back of our minds that whatever happens, whether we contract it or not, we must stay safe and positive all the time and not give in to fear of death because fear is the number one cause of death.

It is also very important that we shouldn't use our mouths to say negative things about ourselves like "OMG, I am dead", etc. Negativity brings bad omen too and should be avoided.

Almost every country in the world is getting quarantined. This means that individuals are asked to stay in their respective homes for a number of days ranging from 14 to 30 days. That is a great number of days.

Reports reaching us from countries that have undergone this self isolation process isn't palatable. For instance, in China a good number of couples filed for divorce immediately after coming out of this compulsory sit at home period. If you ask me why, I would say it is because they got to see one another better and realized the true colours of one another and realized that they weren't supposed to get married in the first place or probably got to see one another properly without makeup on. Lol.

Whatever the case may be, this period isn't an easy one for anyone so it is very important to check that you have the following items handy even as everyone will sit at home and some will work from home well, don't expect store owners to open during this period too.

Let's explore a list of must haves before going on quarantine:

1. Buy food that can be eaten without being cooked in large quantities for example, canned foods, cookies or biscuits, cassava flakes (garri), kulikuli, groundnuts, dried meats(kilishi), popcorn, etc. This is very important because you don't know what is coming ahead and you are not sure what to do if you cannot buy gas.

2. If you have children, buy yoghurt, milk, biscuits etc for them in very large quantities.

3. Buy perishable foods like fruits and vegetables, eat some  and sun dry some. It will serve later when you can no longer buy fruits.

4. Buy a lot of dried food stuffs and grains.

5. Buy a lot of gas or kerosene for cooking.

6. Get enough fuel in your car, like full tank.

7. Stock up on first aid drugs for yourself and children because anyone who falls ill during this period might not make it out alive as all Doctors and nurses will be working from home too.

8. Buy drugs for the most common sickness in your family for example, headache, malaria and typhoid and keep in large quantity.

9. Buy Vitamin C 1000mg. This can be your God sent drug in case you contact the virus. It might help you to recover quickly from the virus.

10. Get lemons and paracetamol at home too plus of course, chicken stew. A patient reported that they recovered by taking paracetamol, chicken stew and lemonade, who knows what might help?

11. Get enough water supply and be ready to boil the water from your regular borehole for drinking incase water scarcity becomes a thing.

12. Finally, become a born again Christian so that you can make heaven if you don't make it out alive. I pray that you should make it out alive in Jesus name.

Your skin, eyes, lips, and even the color of your cheeks can reveal a lot about what’s happening inside your body. In traditional Chinese medicine, facial mapping has long been used to detect internal imbalances, and even modern medicine recognizes that certain facial signs can indicate underlying health conditions. Let’s explore how the state of your face can reveal the state of your health — and the key indicators you should look out for. 1. Pale or Yellowish Skin: Signs of Anemia or Liver Issues If your face looks unusually pale, it might be a sign of anemia, meaning your body lacks enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen.
