WhatsApp Dark Mode: How to Enable it

Facebook -owned WhatsApp is giving users’ eyes a break at last  by unveiling it's novel dark mode setting to the giant messaging app. This is happening years after some other messaging apps like twitter, YouTube, etc figured it out. YouTube, for example, announced a dark mode for its iOS app two years ago, Twitter added an even darker mode to its dark mode more than a year ago while Google was also showing off a system-wide dark mode for Android Q last May. In June, Apple followed suit, previewing iOS 13’s eye-soothing setting.

WhatsApp noted that the eye-soothing option has been the most requested feature from users everywhere.

In a blog post about the launch, WhatsApp wrote how she spent her time “researching and experimenting” how to design a dark mode that would ensure “readability” and maintain “information hierarchy.”

That was another way of saying it didn’t want to reduce eye-strain so much that users might actually want to fall asleep, rather than continue "WhatsApping" throughout the night.

“When choosing colours, we wanted to minimise eye fatigue and use colours that are closer to the system defaults on iPhone and Android respectively,” it writes, before reversing the intent by expressing the counter design: “We wanted to help users easily focus their attention on each screen. We did this by using colour and other design elements to make sure the most important information stands out.”

This can in a way, explain why  it took the company so long to “fix” eye strain after all.

Anyway, let's get back to the main reason why we are here: How to enable night mode on your WhatsApp;

The settings  can be enabled via settings on the WhatsApp menu for Androids and users running the most recent versions of the respective smartphones, or via the system settings.

Users on Android 10 and iOS 13 can use dark mode by enabling it in system settings. Users on Android 9 and below can go into WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Theme > select ‘Dark’.

iPhone users not running the latest OS are out of luck. Dark Mode is only available to users on iOS 13 and above.

Congratulations are in order for Facebook at this time and it feels safe to use the darkmode anytime.

Your face is like a health dashboard:What Your Face Reveals About Your Health

 What Your Face Reveals About Your Health: Signs You Shouldn’t Ignore They say the face is the mirror of the soul but did you know it’s also a mirror of your health? Your skin, eyes, lips, and even the color of your cheeks can reveal a lot about what’s happening inside your body. In traditional Chinese medicine, facial mapping has long been used to detect internal imbalances, and even modern medicine recognizes that certain facial signs can indicate underlying health conditions. Let’s explore how the state of your face can reveal the state of your health — and the key indicators you should look out for. 1. Pale or Yellowish Skin: Signs of Anemia or Liver Issues If your face looks unusually pale, it might be a sign of anemia, meaning your body lacks enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen. A yellowish tone, especially in the eyes or skin, could point to jaundice, often linked to liver or gallbladder problems. 🩸 What it may indicate: Iron or vitamin B12 deficiency Liver disea...
